Air inside a container heats by day and cools at night. The moisture it carries condenses on the steel roof and walls and drips back onto the cargo — container rain. A calcium chloride desiccant captures that water vapour before it condenses and locks it into a gel that cannot run back out.
Hooked onto the lashing rings along the container walls, above the cargo line. Hanging keeps the unit in the warmest, most humid air in the box — where condensation actually forms — and away from the cargo itself.
