Composite Strapping 32 mm

High-tenacity composite strap with wire buckles, tensioned in an X pattern across the face of the load and anchored to certified lashing points.

What it does

The CTU Code describes three forces acting on cargo in transit: fore-and-aft, transverse, and vertical — and the vertical one is the dangerous one, because it lifts the load and reduces the friction that was holding it to the floor. Lashing is what keeps the cargo in place when that happens.

How it is applied

Strap, wire buckle and a manual tensioner — no power tools. The strap is passed under the pallet, looped through the buckle around the upper and lower pins, and tensioned with the lever until the synthetic coating inside the buckle starts to peel slightly: that is the sign of correct tension. The tensioner cuts the strap at the end of the stroke.

A note on capacity. The figures above are for the strap and buckle. The holding capacity of a complete lashing depends on the anchor points, the friction of the floor and the geometry of the stow — validate the arrangement with a specialist before loading heavy or high-value cargo.
